Get ready for an art dump!!!

I bought an Android tablet with a pen, and after discovering that Krita is available on Android, I’ve been putting in some practice and following some tutorials to start really learning how to digital paint.

The featured image is the most recent piece, and probably the best one so far. There was a lot learned during the process of painting it. Also gave me an excuse to draw an old character of mine from long ago, Rick Alkway.

Anywho, here’s a dump of test paintings from the past month.

Krita test 1
First Krita test portrait. Basically testing some brushes.
Krita test 2
Krita test number two. Trying to see how watercolor brushes behave.
Krita test 3 with tutorial
Krita test portrait three. Followed a tutorial for this one.
Krita test 4 anthro Thievul
Krita test four. Also gave me an excuse to draw an anthropomorphized Thievul.

And finally some background pieces. Just exercises to see what I can do and to see how different brushes behave. The first one was an attempt to do a Bob Ross-esque painting without a reference. The rainbow one is probably my favorite.

I must say, this is the most art I’ve done in one month in a very long time. It’s been refreshing and I hope the inspiration sticks around through next year.

Speaking of, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! Here’s to a better 2026. We certainly need it.
