More experimenting with different brushes in Krita. The fennec fox here is named Skyler, and was actually a minor character that was supposed to appear in one of the Bitter Love short stories, but he never got a chance to appear.

If I ever get the motivation to act on the Bitter Love rewrite idea I have, Skyler will have a much larger role. He would join the band the main characters are involved in as a keyboardist and backup guitarist. He’s a very easy-going person, a free spirit, and a total goofball. He likes all sorts of music. The rest of the band hesitated as to whether or not he would be suitable for a metal band, but his keyboard skills won them over. As to how that plays out, I guess you’ll have to see if I ever get around to working on the rewrite.

But anyway, I wanted to draw him out because he never really had a chance to appear outside my mind. Well, except for one time long ago, back in 2011, when his appearance and character hadn’t congealed yet.

I’d show the piece, but this was also during a time where my art style wasn’t congealed either, so I’m not going to show it because I think it looks bad. I suppose it could show how much of a difference ~15 years makes, but I don’t feel like doing that right now. I’ll do that sort of showcase another time.

Back to job hunting.
